Elkhorn Lodge is a 6,500 sq foot Log home that features 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms and two half bath rooms. The lodge has four Master Suites all with full size bathroom and King Size Beds. The lodge has three levels with the main floor having a huge expansive great room . The kitchen is open and airy and centrally located to the dining and great room area making it ideal for entertaining. This cabin also features a large spa with enough seating for 6-8 guests. Elkhorn Lodge is the perfect venue for a family reunion and can also accommodate a wedding and reception on the grounds.
The moment you arrive at Elkhorn Lodge you will be greeted by a carved Elk on the front door. One very unique features is all the wood carving throughout the cabin even the deck post has a carved bear. This unique concept was originated by the builder and commissioned to a local artist to execute his designs and is one of the trademarks of this beautiful crafted home.

.....The Main Floor
As you enter the front door you will be taken back by the massive logs and timbers. The kitchen, dining area and great room are large yet very comfortable and ideal for entertaining. The Great Room Features a huge Elkhorn light fixture and large and welcoming wood burning fireplace. The Lodge has large massive Canadian timbers making is very warm and comfortable for enjoying the lodge during cold winter nights.
Great Room
Elkhorn Lodge is the perfect name for this beautiful cabin because of so many unique features using elkhorn from the light features to the custom designed coffee and end tables in the great room and mount over the fireplace. Warm and cozy great room with wood-burning fireplace. Walk-out decking wraps around the entire front side with beautiful views of the wilderness lake. This is a truly special cabin that is just perfect for family reunions and sharing time with friends.
Kitchen and Dining Area
Granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen layout is ideal for large parties and entertainment
The kitchen features hickory cabinets and high end stainless steel appliances with granite counter tops and is stocked with every amenity a goumet cook could ask for
The dining area is centerally located next to the kitchen and great room area. Dining table can seat 8-10 people comfortable with extra seating at the counter.

The main floor Master Suites features a king size bed with a lovely retreat area with gas fireplace with an eight person spa on the balcony.

Spa & Private Deck
Spa area is located just outside the French doors in the Main Floor Master Suite and can also be accessed from the front entry area of the cabin.

The main floor Guest Bedroom features a Queen size bed and has French doors leading to the deck facing the lake this bedroom also has an insuite full bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower.

Loft Area
Before you enter the master suite you walk into a welcoming loft area with views in both directions. The loft area has a sleeper sofa and television making it a nice space for family entertaining. The loft has large French Doors with a lovely balcony area with rocking chairs for enjoying the beautiful mountain range scenery.
The loft area has a queen size sleeper sofa with entertainment center and is private enough to serve as a wonderful reading area.

Upper Level- #3 Guest Suite (with private bathroom)
The upper level Master Bedroom Suite features the a magnificent log bed with king size bed with a lovely built in bench. Upscale bedding with a mountain range theme adds to the warmth and elegance of this suite.
The Master Bath room features a large jacuzzi tub and has his and her sinks as well as a large shower. Some of the best views of the lake can be seen from the upper master bedroom and bathroom suite.

The 4th Guest bedroom suite features a king size bed with high end quality bedding and linens with French doors that lead to a private deck with walk-out patio and beautiful views of the lake.
The 4th Guest bedroom also features a private full size bathroom with tub and shower area.

Elkhorn Lodge is located walking distance to the beautiful Apalachia Lake, a remote mountain lake in the Smoky Mountains and Southern Blue Ridge near Murphy, North Carolina. This is the ideal setting for your family as the cabin is surrounded by numerous outdoor recreation opportunities. Boating, hiking, whitewater rafting expedition and fly fishing adventures. Elkhorn Lodge provides spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and Apalachia Lake. Hiking, swimming, boating, fishing and canoeing are just steps away for the doorstep. Whitewater rafting, antiquing, horseback riding, golf, hunting and waterfalls nearby. Scenic outdoor attractions include the Cherohala Skyway, Ocoee US 64 Scenic Byway, John Muir Trail, Hiawassee River, Southern Highroads Trial, Ocoee River Whitewater Center, Tellico River and Bald River Falls.
